This cabinet consists of a satin polished steel frame upon which other materials are closely fit.
The top of the cabinet and the drawer front are veneered in birds-eye maple. The side panels are formed of copper that is hammered and then highly polished and the interior shelves are perforated steel.
There are 135 pieces of glass in the three leaded glass panels that form the redfish motif. Light strips hidden under the leading edge of each shelf reflect light off of the copper side panels and illuminate the interior of the cabinet with a warm even glow.
The Redfish Cabinet changes its appearance throughout the day, as the natural ambient light changes or as other sources of light are introduced. It is designed to capture and reflect light in beautiful and unusual ways.
