Technically trained in industrial welding and steel fabrication, most of my metalworking skills have been acquired at Fusion Works, a custom metal shop in Vancouver, B.C. specializing in functional and decorative metalwork built to exceptional standards. It is a shop that is constantly experimenting with new ideas and techniques - pushing the boundaries of modern metalwork.   Prior to this I had acquired skills in woodworking, jewelry making and leaded glass design and construction but nothing has captivated my imagination as metalwork on this scale. After being involved in numerous one of a kind projects and through my own experimentation in the shop, I began to design and build furniture. I wanted to build without compromise in materials or workmanship and I wanted my furniture to be alluring, something that draws you in close and doesn't disappoint - like jewelry on a large scale. This became the essence of Andromeda.
